The Bible tells us...
- Fact of Sin: "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God." (Romans 3:23)
- Penalty of Sin: "For the wages of sin is death...." (Romans 6:23)
- We Cannot Save Ourselves: "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast." (Ephesians 2:8,9)
- Paid By Christ: "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." (Romans 5:8)
- We Must Receive Christ: "But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name. " (John 1:12)
- We Receive Him By Faith: "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved." (Romans 10:9)
- Will You...
1. Admit you are a sinner 2. Believe that Jesus died for you 3. Receive Jesus as your personal Savior
- Ask Him To Save You: "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." (Romans 10:13)
Take God At His Word
Pray something like this: "Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner and I am sorry for my sins. I want You to save me. I receive You as my only Saviour. In Jesus name I ask this, Amen."
Now As A Believer, What Should I Do?
- Be a reader of God's Word - The Bible.
a. Look for what the text is saying to you. b. Look for Jesus in the text you read.
- Be assured of salvation. "And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand." (John 10:28)
"These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life..." (1 John 5:13)
- Be baptized. "Then they that gladly received his word were baptized..." (Acts 2:41)
- Be in church regularly. "Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another..." (Hebrews 10:25)
- Be praying daily. "And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint." (Luke 18:1)
- Be a witness. "And the lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled." (Luke 14:32)
